Intro to Fruit

This thing is tasty!

But the texture's just a little weird.

...and there's some left on my fingers.

Madeline and Santa

We had the option of seeing Santa at breakfast at Neiman Marcus in downtown Dallas or driving 45 minutes to a gas station in Watagua, Texas to get her picture taken inside Santa's ironically named "Tropi-Cal" RV. Of course Jen chose the RV.

Lighting the Tree

We put up the Christmas tree last Saturday night while fruitlessly rooting the Cornhuskers on in the Big 12 Championship game. Madeline woke up in time to see the finished tree. She was in awe.

Saint Nick Presents

Madeline got some Saint Nick presents in the mail (Old Saint Nick started using USPS years ago), and she was happy to play with them right away.

New PJ's and a Christmas plate!

For the real present...cellophane!

Ball Gown

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, we went to see the Beaux Arts Ball where Uncle Jeffrey was an escort. Madeline just had to get dressed up.

Madeline and Daddy.

Give me that camera!

Ruby got to hang out with our darling during the ball.

Thanksgiving

The family went to OKC over Thanksgiving weekend, and Madeline had a great time!

Ready to get on the road again

Peas

Such a big high chair

I guess I can try these.

Hmmm? Maybe sweet potatoes are better.

She's Mobile!

Just as mom turned around, Madeline scooted (it's not exactly crawling yet) off her blanket to go examine the blue bag that we take to daycare every day.

What's in here?

Oh no, I'm caught!

Halloween

Madeline decided to be a little pink bunny for Halloween this year. She made this costume look even cuter than advertised.

You're damn right I look cute!

Mmmm, carrots.

Trick or Treating

Baby Food

So, the rice cereal wasn't such a popular menu item, but things really changed when we offered up some sweet potatoes.

Cutest Hat Ever

While in Kansas City, we found this hat at an Art Fair. It might be the cutest damn thing I've ever seen.

Grandma and Baby

Grandma might have been the happiest to see Madeline in Ohio.

She loves to be rocked.

Madeline sleeping soundly.

Ohio Visit

Madeline had her first trip to Ohio. The flight both ways went just as smoothly as the flight to KC, and this confirms that we have the best child money can buy. She was very excited to meet the family, and they her.

Her cousins Savannah and Shelby were ready and willing to smother her.

Cousin Emily couldn't wait to feed her.

She took a quick liking to her Great Aunt Linda.

Great Grandma could hardly contain her excitement.

All of that made her very tired.

New Bear

Madeline got a new stuffed bear over the weekend. It's sort of a plush bear skin, and she just loves to cuddle with it.

OU Fan

Madeline was showing her spirit for OU/Texas weekend in Dallas.

First Real Food

If you can call it that. We tried some rice cereal the other night, and you can see how well she enjoyed it.

I'm not a big fan.

Alright! Milk!

I guess I'll try it again.

Maybe it's not so bad.

New Walker

She likes her new toy.

What is This Called?

It really makes an odd noise.

Cold Weather

Kansas City was a little cold, so Madeline got a new hat and was able to wear her REI fleece for the first time.
